Protect Our Future

The security and facility professionals protecting the children, and adults attending or working on our school campuses are ever vigilant in their efforts to prevent violence. The campuses need to be inviting for those who belong while making it clear that security personnel can thwart any attack. That story is best told visually. Are guards visible and protected? Are the perimeter and its access points clearly monitored? Do the guards’ stations support or detract from their mission?

The number of violent incidents on school campuses is increasing at an alarming rate. Guards must be attuned to threats from without and within. It strengthens their resolve when their workstations are designed to protect them should they need to respond to an external attack, while also providing them with command central to addressing violence within the perimeter.
